Theresa Crowell is currently the owner and president of Advantage Insurance And Mortgage Group and Advantage Investments, Inc. Theresa not only owns and manages the business, but actively originates home loans every day. Theresa believes in staying “on the cutting edge” of the business and continually invests in her knowledge through continuing education classes and courses and believes in keeping up with technology to benefit her clients.

Theresa started on the ground floor of the financial business back in 1985 with a national finance company in her home town of PA as a customer service representative. She quickly learned the ropes and moved up the ladder holding various positions in the company. Through her tireless dedication to learn all she could, within 5 years she had earned the position of branch manager, being the youngest female manger in her division. Theresa went on in this position to excel and earned the companies’ top award of “President’s Circle of Excellence”. Feeling she had accomplished all she could within the company, and with her husband’s burning desire to move “south” and open up a new world of possibilities for their family, the Crowell’s set out to relocate to NC. Being in the center of the financial and banking world, Theresa was able to expand her business allies and the end result has been being able to work in various positions with numerous lenders and investors from underwriting to the secondary market.

In 2002, Theresa decided it was time to take the “big step” and opened her own mortgage and insurance company.
This allowed Theresa to be able to shop the market and really meet the needs of her clients and not be limited to just one set of lending rules and programs as she had been by working for a specific lender. Being a NC licensed broker, Theresa has access to any lender available in the country, and can thoroughly shop the market based on her client’s criteria and needs and be able to obtain the “best of the best”. Theresa now can concentrate more on the total picture for her clients and works more with mortgage planning and consulting than just giving her clients a “quick fix” in a mortgage.Theresa also is an avid mortgage investor herself and works with numerous real estate investors full time so she has experience from both sides of the spectrum.

Theresa is a member of the NCAMP, NAMP, CLMS, Realtor, and the Charlotte REIA. Theresa resides in Concord with her cat Buddy. She has two daughters, Nicole who works with her in the family business, and Erika who is a junior at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Erika is planning on coming back to Concord to also work along side Theresa and Nicole in the family business. Theresa’s interest include her passion for riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveling, reading and spending time outdoors doing just about anything!
